200 shelterless families get houses with land in Kalapara.

Patuakhali: On the occasion of Mujib Centenary, 200 landless and homeless helpless families got houses with two decimal of land in the fourth phase of the Asharyan-2 project in Kalapara upazila under Patuakhali district. On Wednesday at 9 am in the meeting room of the upazila administration, the local parliamentarian Md. Mohibbur Rahman Mohib handed over the house documents along with the land to these families.

Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue) Md. Obaidur Rahman presided over the function.  As the chief guest, MP Mohib said, Under the leadership of Bangabandhu's daughter Sheikh Hasina, we have prepared list of homeless families and we are handing over land and house documents to them. So that not a single family is left homeless in the country. He further said that the murderers of August 15, 1975 have once again started to create anarchy in the country. It is planning to block the progress of the country's development. 

Upazila Parishad Chairman (Acting) Shahina Parveen Seema, Municipal Mayor Bipul Chandra Howladar, Upazila Parishad Vice Chairman Shafiqul Alam Babul, UNO (Acting) Kaushik Ahmed, District Awami League Senior Vice President Principal Syed Nasir Uddin, Upazila Awami League secretary freedom fighter Abdul Motaleb Talukdar, President of Kalapara Press Club Md. Humayun Kabir, Upazila Disaster and Relief Officer Md. Humayun Kabir, Cyclone Preparation Officer Md. Asaduzzaman were also present in the function as special guests. On this occasion, officials of different departments of upazila administration, public representatives, local mass media workers and the beneficiary family members were present. 

It is mentionable that under Asyaran-2 project in Kalapara on the occasion of Mujib centenary 450 landless-homeless families have been handed over house deeds along with land in 1st phase, 110 in 2nd stage, 203 in 3rd stage and 200 in 4th stage. - Gofran Biswas Palash
