Chinese SBS Zipper to invest $19.97m in BEPZA EZ

Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority (BEPZA) today signed an agreement with the company to this effect at BEPZA Complex, in the city, said a press release.
In presence of BEPZA Executive Chairman Major General Abul Kalam Mohammad Ziaur Rahman, Member (Investment Promotion) of BEPZA Ali Reza Mazid and CEO of SBS Zipper Bangladesh Co. Ltd. Weifang Shen signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organizations. This Chinese company will produce annually 271 million pieces of metal zipper, nylon/plastic zipper, slider/chain/zipper parts/tapes, plastic button, button parts and mould where 2063 Bangladeshi nationals will get employment opportunity, reports BSS.  
BEPZA Executive Chairman thanked SBS Zipper Bangladesh for choosing BEPZA EZ as their investment destination. He assured to provide all sorts of support round the clock to start their production and export.
Member (Engineering) Mohammad Faruque Alam, Member (Finance) Md. Ashraful Kabir, Executive Director (Admin) A N M Foyzul Haque, Executive Director (Investment Promotion) Md. Tanvir Hossain, Executive Director (Enterprise Services) Md. Khorshid Alam and Executive Director (Public Relations) A.S.M Anwar Parvez and the representatives of the company were present during the signing ceremony.
Mentionable that SBS Zipper Bangladesh is a concern of SBS Zipper, one of the biggest global Zipper manufacturers, ranks first in China and second in the world for Zipper production.
