On Friday, Chief Adviser Prof. Muhammad Yunus extended an invitation to Chinese business leaders, urging them to be a part of Bangladesh's dynamic transformation and reap the benefits of a mutually beneficial partnership.

"Bangladesh is positioned to be the business hub of the region—a production powerhouse with vast access to global markets," Dr. Yunus emphasized, highlighting the country’s strategic location and its significant role in international trade. "Establish your factories in Bangladesh and sell to the world," he urged, underscoring the potential for Chinese companies to thrive in this rapidly developing economy.

Dr. Yunus made these remarks during the "Investment Dialogue" event with Chinese business leaders, aimed at showcasing Bangladesh’s business-friendly environment and attracting Chinese investment. The event was a critical platform to inform Chinese investors about the numerous opportunities Bangladesh offers.

Dr. Yunus also noted that Bangladesh boasts a vibrant, youthful population brimming with energy, creativity, and ambition. "Our young people are quick learners, highly adaptable, and eager to contribute to economic progress," he said, emphasizing the country’s growing potential as a workforce hub.

Additionally, Yao Wang, Vice-Chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), met with Dr. Yunus to discuss areas of mutual interest. This semi-governmental organization plays a crucial role in fostering China’s trade and economic relationships with the rest of the world.

Dr. Yunus also had the opportunity to meet with Han Zheng, Vice President of the People's Republic of China, at a state guest house in Beijing. The discussion focused on strengthening bilateral ties and exploring further investment opportunities.

At the roundtable discussion, Dr. Yunus participated in conversations about sustainable infrastructure, energy investments, and Bangladesh’s growing manufacturing and market potential. He also engaged in a session on Social Business, Youth Entrepreneurship, and the World of Three Zeros, sharing his vision for social enterprise and its role in global development.

Throughout the event, Dr. Yunus exchanged ideas with CEOs, influential individuals in the Social Business Circle, senior officials from prominent Chinese companies, and young leaders from both Bangladesh and China. These interactions are vital for building long-term partnerships between the two nations.

The following day, Dr. Yunus is set to visit Peking University, where he will receive an Honorary Doctorate and deliver a speech to an academic audience. Later, he will participate in an exclusive interview with China Media Group (CMG) and Xinhua, offering insights into the evolving relationship between Bangladesh and China, and discussing the country's position on various contemporary international issues.

The day will conclude with a dinner hosted by the Ambassador of Bangladesh to China, further strengthening the ties between the two nations.
