Ekushey Padak-winning poet Asad Chowdhury died at a hospital in Toronto in Canada.



Ekushey Padak-winning poet Asad Chowdhury died at a hospital in Toronto in Canada. He was 80.
Nadim Iqbal, son-in-law of the poet confirmed on Thursday (October 5).
Asad Chowdhury was a poet, writer, translator, radio, television personality and journalist, as well as a cultural activist in Bangladesh.
He won Ekushey Padak in 2013 and Bangla Academy Literary Award in 1987.
