O, my motherland,

O, the land of my birth

You’re my heaven on this earth

You are my dream of mirth-

Like the cloudless sky

You’re shiny and bright!

On your Greenland our crops yield

On you seasonal trails our nation does build.

You came into being-

Through a bloodstained war of liberation

Fiercely fought by our soil’s valiant sons

Finally for establishing for us a homeland

To live in peace and harmony--

As independent Bangladesi nation!

O, motherland,

You are my richest treasure

I adore you with angelic pleasure!
