Dhaka Reporters' Unity (DRU) polls on Nov 30

The schedule of holding DRU polls was announced at the election commission meeting



Election to the executive committee of Dhaka Reporters' Unity (DRU) will be held on November 30 next.

 The voting will begin at 9:00am and continue till 5:00pm at DRU Nasrul Hamid auditorium at Segunbagicha without any break, according to a DRU press release, received in Dhaka on Tuesday.

The schedule of holding DRU polls was announced at the election commission meeting on Monday with election commission chairman as well as editor-in-chief of TV Today Monjurul Ahsan Bulbul in the chair.

Final voter list will be published at 4:00pm on November 11, the release added.

The last date of nomination paper submission is 5:00pm of November 15 while date of scrutiny of nomination paper as well as the list of the candidates is November 16.

The withdrawal date of nomination paper is November 19 and the final list of candidates is November 20.

The Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the DRU will be held on November 29 next on its office premises.

The five member-election commission included Bangladesh Pratidin Executive Editor Abu Taher, Columnist MA Aziz, Senior Journalist Dr Rezwan Siddique and Daily Naya Diganta News Editor Muhammad Baker Hossain.
