Around 100 firefighters responded to a major blaze at the former BBC headquarters, Television Centre, in London’s White City on Saturday.

The London Fire Brigade said crews from Hammersmith, North Kensington, Kensington, Chiswick, and nearby stations were called to the nine-storey building shortly after 3am UK time (0200 GMT).

The fire, currently affecting upper floors, has engulfed a restaurant, external decking, and ducting. Several residential flats may also be impacted, though details remain unclear.

The cause of the blaze is unknown, and there are no reports of injuries or fatalities.
