Bushra nominated ‘Chief Heat Officer’ of DNCC

Bushra Afreen has been nominated as the first ‘Chief Heat Officer’ (CHO) of Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC).



Bushra Afreen has been nominated as the first ‘Chief Heat Officer’ (CHO) of Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC).
Atiqul Islam, mayor of DNCC, made the announcement at a program arranged at the Nabab Nawab Ali Chowdhury Senate Building. The event was jointly arranged by DNCC and Arsht-Rock Foundation.
Previously, Afreen served as the executive of social science welfare at an export-oriented garment business in Ashulia. She established a taskforce to reduce heat on production floors and developed sustainable fashion options for clients.
Her fields of expertise include micro-finance schemes and field management from her time at the Shakti Foundation.
Afreen studied global development at Queen’s University in Canada’s Ontario and spent one year in Ghana studying culture and local government.
