This brings the total number of Bangladeshis repatriated from Lebanon to 1,048, according to a press release from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Upon arrival, the returnees were welcomed by government officials and IOM representatives. Each returnee received an initial package that included Tk 5,000 in cash, essential food items, and basic medical care. The government emphasized that no casualties involving Bangladeshi nationals have been reported so far, providing some relief in the midst of the turmoil.
The press release further reassured the public that the government will continue to extend full support to any Bangladeshi citizens wishing to return from Lebanon, while also ensuring the safety and security of those who choose to remain in the country.
