Army Warns Against Misuse of Its Name in Jhut Business: ISPR

The Bangladesh Army has called for public support in combating fraudulent activities linked to the jhut (unused fabric from garment factories) business, which has been falsely associated with the army. In a statement issued on Friday, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) warned that some unscrupulous individuals have been using the names of senior army officials to promote and engage in illegal activities in industrial zones, damaging the army's reputation.

The army emphasized that it has no involvement in promoting the jhut business or any other commercial ventures. Its primary responsibility remains maintaining law and order and fostering a production-friendly environment in industrial areas.
