A statement from the Ministry of Home Affairs outlined that the decision to equip these agencies with motorcycles is designed to allow them to swiftly patrol urban alleys, remote areas, and high-risk zones, enabling law enforcement to respond promptly to criminal activity.
“The procurement of motorcycles for the DMP, BGB, Ansar, and the Coast Guard will ensure that our forces are better equipped to combat crime, catch criminals in real-time, and improve public safety,” the statement said.
This initiative is part of a broader strategy to enhance the law and order situation across the country. The Ministry of Home Affairs has emphasized that continuous monitoring is being conducted to ensure the effective implementation of these decisions and to ensure maximum impact.
The statement also highlighted the government's ongoing commitment to curbing criminal activity, specifically referencing the joint-force led Operation Devil Hunt, which was launched nationwide on February 8, 2025. The operation targets a range of criminal activities, including the capture of identified criminals, terrorists, drug traffickers, and smugglers.
In addition to the motorcycle procurements, the government has intensified security patrols and established additional checkpoints in areas identified as high-crime zones. These measures, coordinated by joint forces made up of military personnel, various police units, and the BGB, are part of a broader effort to ensure public safety and maintain order across the nation.
