Rehan Makes Film Debut With Raihan Rafi’s ‘Andhar’

Emerging actor Farrukh Ahmed Rehan is set to make his big-screen debut with Andhar, a film directed by acclaimed filmmaker Raihan Rafi.

After establishing himself on television with notable performances in several dramas, Rehan is now taking a major step into cinema. He gained further recognition during the last Eid with his performance in the YouTube film Abhijaan, directed by Muhammad Mostafa Kamal Raz.

In Andhar, Rehan will appear alongside some of Bangladesh’s leading performers, including Afsana Mimi, Chanchal Chowdhury, Siam Ahmed and Gazi Rakayet. Working with such experienced artistes is expected to be a significant learning opportunity for the young actor.

Rehan said he had initially planned to announce the project after completing the entire production process, but news of his involvement spread amid growing interest from audiences.

“Andhar is my first film, and I am truly excited to be part of this project. I cannot reveal details about the story or my character yet, but I can say that Raihan Rafi bhai has created something special,” he said.

He added that working with a talented cast and crew has been an invaluable experience as he continues to develop his acting skills.

Writer Shakib Chowdhury said the team was searching for a fresh face for the character Himel and selected Rehan after an extensive process.

“We wanted someone who could bring freshness to the role. Raihan Rafi searched extensively before choosing Rehan. I believe audiences will take notice of him after the film’s release,” he said.

Andhar is scheduled to release by the end of this year and is expected to be a significant milestone in Rehan’s acting career.
