Police Baton-Charge Students Near Parliament

Police on Tuesday evening baton-charged students protesting near the south plaza of the National Parliament, dispersing demonstrators from a section of Manik Mia Avenue during a parliamentary session.

The students had gathered on the road demanding the resignation of Education Minister Dr A N M Ehsanul Hoque Milon.

The baton charge came as police moved to clear the road and restore traffic in the area.
