No first, second COVID doses after Oct 3 in country

Health Minister Zahid Maleque has hinted that first and second doses of COVID vaccine may not be available in the country after October 3 as the vaccine date will be expired.



Health Minister Zahid Maleque has hinted that first and second doses of COVID vaccine may not be available in the country after October 3 as the vaccine date will be expired.

"No first and second dose will be available after October 3. And COVID vaccination campaign for the children aged 5-11 under district and upazila levels will start from October 11."

Minister Zahid said these in National Advocacy Workshop on COVID-19 vaccination for children in the capital on Saturday.

He requested those who will still not receive the first, second and third doses to take the vaccine within September 28-October 3 as the campaign will begin in the country from September 28.

After that, the first two COVID doses will not be available in Bangladesh, Zahid Maleque added.
