21 burnt in Gazipur factory gas line explosion

Twenty one workers were sustained burn injuries in an explosion caused by gas line leakage at Cotton BD factory of Mandal Group in Kashimpur Dakkhin Jorun area in Gazipur city of today, reports BSS.

According to police, locals and Fire Service, the fire broke out at the factory at about 8am due to gas line leakage exploded and caught fire, Kashimpur DBL Fire Service Inspector Mirazul Islam said.

Twenty-one workers were injured in the explosion and they were admitted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital and Sheikh Hasina Burn and Plastic Surgery Institute, he said.

The factory authorities able to bring the blaze under their control with their own management system, he added.
