NID services to remain shut for 64 hours
The National Identity Card (NID) services will remain down from Thursday 5 pm to next 64 hour .
The National Identity Card (NID) services will remain down from Thursday 5 pm to next 64 hour due to maintenance purposes, said the Election Commission.
Election Commission's System Analyst Mamunur Hossain NID services will be suspended for 64 hours during the server room relocation.
He said all types of services will remain closed until Saturday night (October 28) starting from 5pm October 26 as all equipment including servers, networking devices, storage will be shifted to the main room.
It is mentionable that 175 public and private institutions including mobile operators, financial institutions, law enforcement agencies, and others use the NID server to verify the identity of citizens.
