Kings thrash Ctg Abahani 5-0 in BPL

Dhaka, 5 April-Defending champions Bashundhara Kings extended their winning run as they drubbed Chittagong Abahani Limited by 5-0 goals in the Bangladesh Premier League football held at Shaheed Birshreshtha Flight Matiur Rahman Stdium in Munshiganj on Friday. 

In the day's match, forward Rakib scored a brace while two Brazilian forwards Dorielton and Robinho, and Uzbek midfielder Asror Gafurov supported him with a lone goal each for Kings who led the first half by 4-0 goals. 

Dorielton put Kings ahead early in the 2nd minute while Robinho doubled the lead sacoring the second goal for Kings from spot kick in the 13th minute of the match. Rakib further widened the margin scoring the third goal for Kings in the 19th minute while Gafurov made the score line 4-0 in the 45+2nd minute of the match. 

Rakib completed the winners' tally scoring his second and fifth goal for Kings in the 53rd minute of the match.

The day's win saw, Kings raised their tally to 28 points from 11 matches while the port city team Chittagong Abahani Limited remained at their previous collection of 10 points playing the same number of matches.
