Mariners go goal feast

Dhaka, 17 Apr- Dhaka Mariners Youngs Club register a massive 9-2 goals victory over Ajax Sporting Club in the lone match of Green Delta Insurance Premier Division Hockey League held at Maulana Bashani National Hockey Stadium on Wednesday. 

Thanks to star defender Sohanur Rahman Sobuj and Indian recruit Sudeep Chirmako for their brilliant hat-tricks that helped Mariners to earn an emphatic win on the day.

Apart from Sobuj's hat-trick with four goals, Sudeep scored hat-trick with three goals while Mainul Islam Koushik and skipper Fazle Hossain Rabbi supported them with one goal apiece for Mariners in the one-sided affairs.

While Imtiaz Ahmed Rubel and Indian recruit Promot Dewan netted one goal each for Ajax Sporting Club.

The day's win saw, defending champions Mariners raised their tally to 34 points from 14 matches, one point less than table topper Mohammedan Sporting Club.
