A five-member committee has been established to streamline and standardize the process for government employees to submit their wealth statements. This initiative aims to simplify the procedure and ensure consistency across all departments.

The committee is chaired by the Secretary of the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC), who will serve as the convenor. Key members include representatives from the National Board of Revenue (NBR), the Finance Division, and the Office of the Comptroller and Auditor General. The chief of the Discipline and Inquiry Wing of the Public Administration Ministry has been appointed as the member secretary.

Senior Secretary of Public Administration, Dr. Md Mokhles ur Rahman, announced the committee's formation during a press briefing on Monday. He highlighted that the committee’s primary task is to design an easy-to-use, universal form for wealth statements and to outline the timeline and procedures for submission. The committee is expected to finalize these details within the next 15 days.

The finalized guidelines will be communicated to all government employees within this timeframe, ensuring they are well-informed about the new procedures. This move follows a government directive issued on Sunday, mandating all public service holders to submit their property statements.
