Jewellers have raised the price of gold by Tk3,581, bringing the cost to Tk1,29,902 per bhori (11.664 grams) due to an increase in the price of pure gold in the local market.

The new prices, effective Sunday, are Tk11,137 per gram for 22-carat gold, Tk10,631 per gram for 21-carat, Tk9,112 per gram for 18-carat, and Tk7,460 per gram for traditional gold.

Prices for silver remain unchanged, with 22-carat silver priced at Tk180 per gram.

The adjustment was announced by the Standing Committee on Pricing and Price Monitoring of the Bangladesh Jeweller’s Association (BAJUS).
