Special prayers, milad mahfil held at Bangabhaban on the occasion of Eid-e-Miladunnabi

Eid-e-Miladunnabi marks the anniversary of the birth & passing away of Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH)



Dhaka, Sept 16 - A special prayer and milad mahfil were organised at the Bangabhaban Jame Mosque on Monday, in observance of the holy Eid-e-Miladunnabi.

Eid-e-Miladunnabi marks the anniversary of the birth and passing away of Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) and is being observed across the country with due religious solemnity.

President Mohammed Shahabuddin attended the programme at the mosque, according to his Press Secretary Joynal Abedin.

Military and civil officials, employees of Bangabhaban, along with secretaries to the President, participated in the Milad. Special prayers were offered for the welfare of the country, the nation, and for the unity, peace, and progress of the Muslim Ummah.

Bangabhaban Jame Masjid Pesh Imam, Maulana Saiful Kabir, led the prayer.On this day in the year 570, on the 12th of Rabiul Awal in the Hijri calendar, the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was born in Makkah, Saudi Arabia, with divine blessings and a message of peace for all mankind. He passed away on the same day.-UNB
