The government has reshuffled senior leadership positions in three key law enforcement agencies, appointing new chiefs for the Rapid Action Battalion, the Special Branch of police and the Criminal Investigation Department.

According to an official notification issued on Monday by the Police-1 Branch of the Ministry of Home Affairs, the appointments were made by order of the president and signed by Deputy Secretary Taushif Ahmed.

Md Ahsan Habib Palash, currently serving as Deputy Inspector General of the Chattogram Range, has been appointed Director General of the Rapid Action Battalion.

Sardar Nurul Amin, an Additional Inspector General at Bangladesh Police Headquarters, has been made the chief of the Special Branch of Bangladesh Police.

Meanwhile, Mosleh Uddin Ahmed, also serving as Additional Inspector General at Police Headquarters, has been appointed head of the Criminal Investigation Department Bangladesh.

The changes come as part of a broader administrative reshuffle within the country’s law enforcement agencies.
