Rezwan Hossain Siddiqui, editor of Daily Dinkal, breated his last at a hospital in Dhaka on Tuesday 16 January 2024.



Dhaka, Jan 16 - Dr Rezwan Hossain Siddiqui, editor of Daily Dinkal and a senior member of the Dhaka Union of Journalists, has passed away.

Rezwan breathed his last at a private hospital in the capital’s Shyamoli around 10 pm on Tuesday where he had been undergoing treatment for kidney-related issues.

His daughter Aditi Sidduqui confirmed the news of his demise.

Rezwan Siddiqui worked for the Dainik Bangla in the seventies and the eighties of the last century and was elevated to the position of assistant editor. He worked as deputy press secretary to Prime Minister Khaleda Zia. 

He was also a director general of the Press Institute of Bangladesh. 

Rezwan’s namaz-e-janaza is scheduled to take place at 12pm on Wednesday at the National Press Club. - UNB
