Jatiya Press Club permanent member Masudur Rahman Masud dies

Masudur Rahman Masud, member, Jatiya Press Cliub dies of a heart attack at his residence in Dhaka on Saturday.



Masudur Rahman Masud, permanent member of Jatiya Press Club and editor and publisher of daily newspaper Bangladesh Patrika, is no more. He died of a heart attack while sleeping this Saturday morning (innalillahi wa inna ilaihe rajeun). He was 56 years old. He is survived by his wife, one son, one daughter and a host of relatives, colleagues and well-wishers.

He was buried in the Matuail cemetery after the funeral at Rayerbagh in the capital on Satuday.

Masudur Rahman Masud was born in 1968 in Khalishpur, Khulna. He worked in various media including Dainik Samachar, Bhorer Dak.

National Press Club President Farida Yasmin and General Secretary Shyamal Dutta expressed deep grief and sorrow over the death of Masudur Rahman Masud. In a condolence message, they prayed for the salvation of the soul of the deceased and expressed deep condolences to his bereaved family members. - Press release
