The fifth shipment of uranium for the Rooppur Nuclear Power Project in Pabna has arrived in Rooppur.
The fifth shipment of uranium for the Rooppur Nuclear Power Project in Pabna has arrived in Rooppur amid tight security.
A convoy carrying uranium entered the project area around 9:30am on Friday (October 27). Earlier, the fourth shipment reached Rooppur last Friday morning (October 20).
Additional Superintendent of Police (Ishwardi Circle) Biplab Kumar Goswami confirmed the matter.
He said that the convoy carrying uranium left Dhaka early in the morning, crossed the Bangabandhu Bridge and reached Rooppur project area via Banpara in Natore and Dashuria in Ishwardi of Pabna.
