Colorful rally held to mark World Wushu-Kung Fu Day

Dhaka, 8 Aug- A colorful rally was organised in the capital today by the Bangladesh Wushu Federation to mark World Wushu-Kung Fu Day, with the aim of promoting and expanding wushu and kung fu worldwide and highlighting their importance in leading a healthy and fulfilling lifestyle.

Bangladesh Wushu Federation General Secretary Md Dildar Hasan Dilu, Vice-President S M Shahidul Haque Bhuiyan, Treasurer Habibur Rahman Siddiqui and member Md Russell, along with federation officials, wushu coaches and judges, representatives of various clubs and organisations, and a large number of wushu athletes, took part in the rally. The participants carried banners, festoons and placards highlighting the positive messages and benefits of wushu and kung fu.

After the rally, Md Dildar Hasan Dilu and S M Shahidul Haque Bhuiyan addressed a brief gathering. They said the federation was committed to encouraging young people to practise wushu to maintain physical and mental well-being, keep them away from drugs and other forms of social degradation, and strengthen Bangladesh's presence in wushu on the international stage.BSS
