Korean Ambassador’s Cup Taekwondo concludes

DHAKA - Korean Ambassador’s Cup Taekwondo Championship concluded today (Saturday) at Gulshan-Badda Taekwondo Club in the city’s Uttar Badda.

Agriculture Minister Dr Muhammad Abdur Razzaque virtually joined the closing ceremony as the chief guest while Korean Ambassador to Bangladesh Lee Jang-Keun also joined it virtually as special guest.

Bangladesh Taekwondo Federation (BTF) President Morshed Hossain Kamal presided over the closing ceremony. BTF general secretary Mahmudul Islam Rana and other BTF’s members were present on the occasion.

On the last day of the two-day meet, Bangladesh Army emerged champion in senior division beating Chattogram District Sports Association (DSA) while Rajshahi DSA emerged champions in junior division defeating Sirajganj DSA.   

BTF organised the event by the initiative of the Korean Embassy to Dhaka. Mentionable, the championship was held on a virtual platform (through zoom app).

About 350 taekwondo players from 12 DSAs and five services teams, universities, colleges, schools, clubs and corporations took part in the meet.BSS
