Youth Games: Inter-district phase continue on day 6

Dhaka, 21 Jan - The inter-district phase of 'Sheikh Kamal 2nd Bangladesh Youth Games 2023', organized by the Bangladesh Olympic Association (BOA), continued on sixth day Saturday at different districts across the country.

 
Khulna inter-district phase swimming competition was held at Sultana Kamal Divisional Women's Sports Complex in Khulna with the participants of five districts of the division.

M Mortuza Rashidi Dara, member of Olympic Association and general secretary of Khulna District Sports Association, inaugurated the games as the chief guest.

Deputy director of divisional Women Sports Association Abul Hossain Howladar, vice president of Divisional Sports Association (DSA) Hosneyara Khan, DSA's vice president Parveen Rahman and Bangladesh Swimming Federation's joint secretary Amirul Islam, among others, were also present in the opening ceremony.

A total of sixteen men's and women's events were held with participants from Bagerhat, Jessore, Jhenaidah, Magura and Kushtia districts of Khulna division.

Arif Ali emerged top in the men's 100 meters freestyle while Ramzan Ahmed finished in second position. Annie Akhter emerged top in the women's event while Nupur Khatun finished second position. Rabiul Islam of Kushtia emerged top in the men's 50m breaststroke while Md. Sohanur Rahman Sohan finished second position. Mukta Khatun emerged top in the women's event while Jui Khatun finished second position.

Sohag Ali of Kushtia emerged top in the men's 100 backstroke while Md. Mahfuz Ali finished second position. Jhenaidah's Poli Khatun emerged top in the women's event while Kushtia's Annie Akter finished second position. Jhenaidah's Surya Joardar Pratham emerged top in the men's 50m butterfly event while Kushtia Md. Jisan Ali finished second position. Jhenaidah's Poli Khatun emerged first in the women's event while Kushtia's Athay finished second position.

Sohag Ali of Kushtia emerged top in the men's 50m backstroke while Md. Mahfuz Ali finished second. Mukta Khatun of Kushtia emerged top in the women's event while Poli Khatun of Jhenaidah finished second position. Rabiul Islam of Kushtia emerged top in the men's 100 meters breaststroke while Sohanur Rahman Sohan finished second position. Kushtia's Mukta Khatun emerged top in the women's event while Nupur Akhtar finished second position. Ramzan Ahmed of Kushtia emerged top in the men's 200m freestyle while Meer Nirab Hossain finished second position. Annie Akhter emerged top in the women's event while Jharna Akter Mim finished second positiond. Arif Ali Prothom of Kushtia emerged top in the men's 50m freestyle while Md. Rana finished second position. Mehnaz Khatun of Jhenaidah emerged top in the first in the women's event while Annie Akhter finished second position.

Anamika Roy Pooja of Rangpur emerged first in the -40 kg weight category women's karate event while Ishrat Jahan Isha of Panchgarh finished in second position held in Dinajpur under Rangpur division. Sushma Barman of Rangpur emerged top in the -45 kg weight category Tahsina Tabassuma finished second position. Aditi Mani Sarkar of Rangpur emerged top in -50 kg weight category while Ripa Sanjeeda Rinki finished second position.

Muntaha Najiba of Rangpur emerged top in the -55 kg weight category while Ruli Rani Das of Thakurgaon finished second position. Munsaya Nabila of Rangpur emerged top in the -61 kg weight category while Sabia Raisa finished second position. Afia Anjum of Rangpur emerged top in the -68kg weight category while Drishti Roy of Dinajpur finished second position. 

Tahsin Akter Surma of Dinajpur emerged first in the + 68kg weight category while Sheikh Jannatul Ferdous of Rangpur finished second position. Sushma Barman of Rangpur emerged first in single kata event while Afia Anjum Sharika finished second position.
Sakerullah of Cox's Bazar emerged champion in the men's chess singles rapid event held at convention hall of MA Aziz Stadium in Chattogram. Kazi Ikhtekharuzzaman of Brahmanbaria finished runner-up. Nusrat Jahan Alo of Comilla emerged champion inte women's event while and Umnia Binte Yusuf Lobaba of Chattogram finished runner-up. 

Besides, Sakerullah of Cox's Bazar was the champion and Tusin Talukder of Chittagong was the runner-up in the single beotz young category. Nusrat Jahan Alo of Comilla emerged champion in the women's event while Umnia Binte Yusuf Lobaba of Chattogram finished runner-up. Chattogram district emerged champions in the men's team event chess while Cox's Bazar district finished runners-up. Chattogram district emerged champions in the women's event while Comilla district finished runners-up. 

Comilla's Khalid emerged first in the men's Taekwondo -45 kg weight category while Wafiul finished second position held at MA Aziz Stadium Gymnasium.

Mahmudur Nabi of Comilla emerged top in the - 48 kg weight category while Hasan of Chattogram district finished second position. Mehedi of Comilla district emerged first in the -51 kg weight category while Rahim of Chattogram finished second position. Comilla's Tahib emerged first in the -55 kg weight category while Tahmidur finished second position. Chittagong's Marjuk emerged top in the +59 kg weight category while Navin finished second position.

Comilla's Mehedi emerged top in the singles event while Jesus Parial of Chattogram finished second position. Comilla emerged champion in the team event while and Chattogram finished runner-up. Mir Lora Khan of Chattogram emerged top in the women's -42 kg weight category while Tanya Akhtar of Cox's Bazar finished second position. Rajika of Chattogram emerged top in the -44 kg weight category while Keti of Bandarban finished second position. Fatema of Comilla emerged first in the -46 kg weight category while Nidrita of Chattogram finished second position.

Shikha of Comilla emerged top in the -49 kg weight category while Jerin of Chattogam finished second position. Preeti of Chattogram emerged first in the +52 kg weight category while Bhanthapar of Bandarban finished second position. Rajika of Chattogram emerged top in the single event while Fatima of Comilla finished second position. Comilla emerged champions in team event while Chattogram finished runner-up. Comilla district were the champions in the mixed doubles event while Chattogram district finished runners-up.

Bandarban's Singkyu Marma emerged first in men's karate-60kg weight category while Maung Pong Mro finished second. Nahida Akter of Comilla emerged first in the women's -61 kg weight category while Anvesha De of Chattogram finished second position. Sudaran Vikas of Rangamati emerged first in the men's -67 kg weight category while Al Muit of Noakhali finished second position. Samudra Majumdar of Chattogram emerged first in the women's -68 kg weight category while Uma Chowdhury finished second position.

Al Arabi Rafi of Chattogram emerged first in the men's kumi -75 kg weight category while Zarif Kabir finished second.
