Uruguay defeat USA to book Rugby World Cup spot

PARIS - Uruguay reached the Rugby World Cup for a fifth time on Saturday with victory over the United States.

The South Americans over-turned a narrow first leg 19-16 defeat to win the
return tie in Montevideo, 34-15.

At the 2023 World Cup, Uruguay will be in the same pool as hosts France, New Zealand and Italy.

  The United States can still reach the World Cup but they will have to
defeat Chile in a final play-off in July next year.BSS/AFP
