Walton Federation Cup handball to begin Sunday

Dhaka, 7 Feb - Walton Federation Cup handball (man's and woman's) will begin from at Shaheed (Captain) M Mansur Ali Handball Stadium in the city.

A total of eight teams, four of men's and equal number of women's, will compete in the meet, sponsored by Walton High-tech Industries Limited and organized by Bangladesh Handball Federation (BHF).

Out of the total competition budget of Taka 5,77,400 (Taka five lakh seventy seven thousand and four hundred), sponsor Walton will provide Taka 3,00,000 (Taka three lakh) to run the competition.

In this regard, a press conference was held today (Tuesday) at the conference room of Shaheed (Captain) M Mansur Ali Handball Stadium to provide all the details of the meet.

BHF's general secretary Asaduzzamana Kohinoor, competition sponsor Walton High-tech Industries Limited's senior executive director FM Iqbal Bin Anwar, BHF's vice president and managing committee's chairman Golam Habib, BHF's vice president Nurul Islam and BHF's member, and managing committee's secretary Selim Mia Babu were present at the press conference.

Participating teams:

Man's teams - Bangladesh Police Handball Club, Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defense Party, Border Guard Bangladesh and Team Handball Dhaka
Women's teams - Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defense Party, Bangladesh Police Handball Club, Handball Training Center Dhaka and Tetulia Upazila Sports Association.
