Men's hockey team finally earn victory

Dhaka, 31 Aug  - Bangladesh national men's hockey team finally earned victory in the Men's Asian Hockey five-a-side World Cup Qualifier beating Japan by 10-3 goals in their fourth match of the group held in Salalah, Oman on Thursday.

In the proceeding, Dwin Mohammad Emon and Saiful Islam Shishir slammed a brilliant hat-trick each, putting a major contribution behind the victory of Bangladesh.

Besides, Sarowar Morshed Shawon and Abed Uddin scored twice each to secure Bangladesh commanding victory on the day.

Abed Uddin was named the best player of the match for his impressive performance.

Earlier, in the group phase matches, Bangladesh suffered defeats to India and Pakistan by a massive margin of 15-1 goals and 15-6 goals respectively and again lost to Malaysia by 5-10 goals in their third match of the group.
