Moulvibazar, Cumilla, Bogura ensure last eight

DHAKA - Moulvibazar, Cumilla and Bogura districts of boys' group and Narail and Faridpur districts of girls' group ensured the last eight spot in final round of IGP Cup National Youth Kabaddi competition eliminating their respective rivals held today (Friday) at Paltan ground adjoining the Bangabandhu National Stadium.

   In the day's boys' group matches, Moulvibazar beat Bogura by 38-28 points, Cumilla defeated Kishorganj by 37-17 points, Rangpur outclassed Lalmonirhat 40-33 points and Jessore overpowered Barisal by 48-28 points to reach into the quarterfinal.

   Meanwhile, in the girls' group matches held at the same venue, Brahmanbaria defeated Joypurhat by 29-26 points and Barisal outclassed Dinajpur by 45-24 points while Narail beat Jamalpuir by 55-13 points and Faridpur edged past Khagrachori by 17-16 points to ensure their spot of quarterfinal.BSS
