Annual sports competitions of Shorkari Shishu Poribar held in Thakurgaon
Thakurgaon, 18 Dec - Thakurgaon Shorkari Shishu Poribar (Both Boys and Girls) organised separate annual sports and cultural competitions here today.
Deputy Commissioner Ishrat Farzana and Superintendent of Police Sheikh Zahidul Islam were present at the functions as the chief and the special guests respectively with Deputy Director of District Social Services Al Mamun in the chair.
The Shorkari Shishu Poribar (girls) was inaugurated by Deputy Commissioner Ishrat Farzana, while the Shorkari Shishu Poribar (boys)
was inaugurated by Additional District Magistrate Mustafa Sardar Shahin.
More than one hundred orphaned children and students of the Shabdalhat Shorkari Shishu Poribar (Boys) and the Shorkari Shishu Poribar (Girls) joined the annual events.
The guests spent a joyful time with the children and exchanged views with them.
At the end, the guests distributed awards to the winners of the sports and cultural competitions.
