Sports Ministry to work to promote Kabaddi: Asif
Dhaka, 21 Dec -Youth and Sports Adviser Asif Mahmud Shojib Bhuyain Saturday said the Ministry of Youth and Sports would extend support for the development of Kabaddi in Bangladesh.
He made the remark during the Victory Day Kabaddi competition match held at Shaheed (Captain) M Mansur Ali National Handball Stadium.
"Kabaddi is the national game of Bangladesh. On behalf of the Ministry of Youth & Sports, we will give maximum help so that the game of Kabaddi can be taken forward and reach to everyone," he said.
He also thanked to the Kabaddi Federation by saying that there are still a few days left for the official start of the youth festival, but Kabaddi Federation is already spreading the message of this festival through Kabaddi competition.
Bangladesh Kabaddi Federation general secretary SM Ali Newaz Shohag was present at that time.
