Symbolic marathon race held in Jhenaidah
Jhenaidah, 18 July - A symbolic marathon race was held in Jhenaidah district on the occasion of July Uprising Day.
The marathon was jointly organized by the district administration and the Department of Youth Development.
The race started in the morning in front of the Jhenaidah Deputy Commissioner's office with the participation of nearly two hundred runners.
The participants covered a three-kilometer route that passed through Circuit House, Gitanjali, and Hosne Shaheed Suhrawardy roads in the city before concluding at Bir Shrestha Hamidur Rahman Stadium.
Jhenaidah Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Abdul Awal, Sadar Upazila Executive Officer Hosne Ara, Jhenaidah Sadar Upazila Health Complex Health and Family Planning Officer Mithila Islam, District BNP General Secretary Zahiduzzaman Mona, and District Sports Officer Md. Mizanur Rahman, among others, were present.
Md. Ashiqur Rahman secured first place among the boys, while Nadia won first place among the girls.
Deputy Commissioner Md. Abdul Awal distributed the prizes among the winners.BSS
