The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) in drives arrested 41 people from different areas of the capital for selling and consuming drugs.



The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) in drives arrested 41 people from different areas of the capital for selling and consuming drugs.
A DMP statement on Saturday said being informed, the DMP’s police and detective units conducted the anti-drug campaign in the last 24 hours till 6am Saturday in the city’s various areas.They arrested the people for their alleged involvement in selling and consuming drugs.
They seized 791 pieces of Yaba tablets, 133gm heroin, 42.17kg hemp and 11 cans of beer from their possessions, the statement said.
According to the statement, a total of 47 cases have been filed against the detained persons under the Narcotics Control Act.
