Case against Imad Paribahan owner for fatal Madaripur mishap

A case was filed accusing the owner of Imad Paribahan over the deaths of 19 people when the bus fell into a ditch on the Bhanga-Dhaka Expressway in Shivchar upazila of Madaripur.



A case was filed accusing the owner of Imad Paribahan over the deaths of 19 people when the bus fell into a ditch on the Bhanga-Dhaka Expressway in Shivchar upazila of Madaripur.
Sergeant Jayant Das of Shivchar Highway police station filed the case on the night of Sunday (March 19).
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Shibchar Police Station Md Anwar Hossain confirmed the news.
OC Anwar Hossain said the case was filed mentioning that the accident occurred due to the mechanical fault and high speed of the bus. Some unknown people including Emad authorities have been made accused in the case.
On Sunday (March 19) at 7:30 am, the passenger bus of Imad Paribahan that left Khulna lost control and fell down the expressway in the Kutubpur area of Shibchar. The bus got twisted in it. 19 people were killed so far and at least 20 people were injured regarding the accident.
