Sagar-Runi murder case report submission deferred for 97th time
Sagar Sarowar and Meherun Runi
Date for submission of the probe report in the murder case of journalist couple Sagar Sarowar and Meherun Runi has been deferred for 97 times.
Metropolitan Magistrate Rashidul Alam of Dhaka CMM court today fixed May 22 for the submission of the probe report in the murder case.
The court fixed the new date as RAB Investigation Officer Additional Superintendent of Police Khondoker Md Shafiqul Alam failed to submit the report today.
Sagar, News Editor of private TV station Maasranga and his wife Runi, Senior Reporter of another private TV channel, ATN Bangla, were brutally murdered at their rented apartment in Dhaka’s West Rajabazar area on February 11 of 2012.
Nousher Ali Roman, brother of Runi, filed a case with Sher-e-Bangla Nagar Police Station the following day. - Special Correspondent
