All 639 police stations in the country resume operations

All police stations across the country returns to regular activities



Dhaka, Aug 15 - All 639 police stations across the country have resumed their operations on Thursday, said authorities.

Police Headquarters in a message said, all the police stations have returned to regular activities.

All 110 police stations in the metropolitan cities are functional while 529 police stations in districts are also functional, it added..

Moreover, 24 police stations of Government Railway Police (GRP) have resumed their activities.

Services at most police stations were suspended after the fall of the Sheikh Hasina-led government on August 5, following attacks on the police stations across the country amid a mass upsurge.

Later, Home Affairs Adviser M Sakhawat Hossain strictly ordered police personnel to return to their workplace immediately.-UNB
