Gatherings banned in Kamarpara, Abdullahpur, Uttara Sector-10 and adjacent areas southwest of Turag River

Dhaka, December 18: In order to maintain public order in the recently emerged situation, any kind of gathering, procession, procession, demonstration, etc. has been banned in Kamarpara, Abdullahpur, Uttara Sector-10 and adjacent areas southwest of Turag River from 2 pm today until further orders. This order was given under the powers vested in Section 29 of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police Ordinance (Ordinance No. III/76). On Wednesday (December 18) afternoon, Ramna Zone DC Masud Alam said that a sufficient number of police have been deployed in and around Kakrail Mosque. The police are ready to deal with any unpleasant situation.

Meanwhile, four platoons of BGB were deployed in Tongi in connection with the clash between Tablighi Jamaat's Zubair and Sadpanti supporters. BGB Public Relations Officer Md. Shariful Islam gave this information on Wednesday (December 18) morning.

The death toll in the clash between two groups at the Bishwa Ijtema Maidan in Tongi has increased to three. Habibullah Raihan, media coordinator of Maulana Zubair's followers, confirmed the matter.
