Earlier, the former DC surrendered before the court, he said.
According to court sources, AKM Kaisarul Islam Chowdhury, a resident of Matarbari of Moheshkhali upazila, filed a case against 28 people including Ruhul Amin alleging misappropriation of Tk 20 crore from a land acquisition process related to the construction of a thermal power plant.
The case was filed with the Senior Special Judge's Court in Cox's Bazar and Ruhul Amin was the prime accused.
Taking the case into cognisance, the court ordered the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) to investigate the allegation.
