Savar, Apr 14 – Two assistant sub-inspectors of Savar Model Police Station were closed for negligence of duty. 

The punitive action was taken against Abdus Sattar and Sarwar Hossain, said Officer-in-charge of Savar Model Police Station Jewel Mia. 

Additional Superintendent of Dhaka police Shahinur Kabir said in the wake of mugging incidents on buses and highways a check-post was installed on Dhaka-Aricha highway at Bank Town area in Savar. 

But the two ASIs were found sitting idle on the road without checking buses passing the area. - UNB
