1,631 people arrested in special drives

Bangladesh police conducted  drives across the country on Saturday  and arrested a total of 1,631 people on various charges.

Among the arrestees, 1,087 were arrested  in connection with ongoing cases and on the basis of warrants, while 544others  were held for various other reasons.

The law enforcers  also recovered two locally made firearms, two switchgear knives, and one round of ammunition, reports UNB.
