Detectives have detained 11 people, including seven leaders and activists of the banned Bangladesh Chhatra League, the student wing of the deposed Awami League, during an overnight operation in the capital.

Deputy Commissioner of DMP’s Media and Public Relations Division Muhammad Talebur Rahman on Wednesday said they were held when they arrived in Dhaka from Kotalipara in Gopalganj.

According to Talebur Rahman, they were held on charges of attempting to disrupt law and order in the capital and engaging in activities intended to create panic among the public, reports UNB.
