3 robbers arrested with arms in Jashore

Police in a drive arrested three members of a robber gang along with arms at Kauria village in Jhikargacha upazila of Jashore district on Friday night.
The arrestees were Mahbubur Rahman, son of Habibullah Dewan, Jasibul Islam Hasib, son of Ashiqul Islam of Jhikorgacha upazila and Yunus Ali, son of Mominur Rahman of Manirampur upazila.
Tipped off that a group of robbers were holding a clandestine meeting at a duck farm in Aulia Para, a team of police conducted a drive in the area around 10:30 pm and arrested three members of the gang, said officer-in-charge of Jhikargacha Police Station, Nur Mohammad Gazi.
Police also recovered local made weapons, sharp weapons, hammer, Chinese axe, waki-taki and other materials from their possession.
The other members of the robber gang including its ringleader Shohagh Hossain managed to flee the scene, reports UNB.
