Inspector General of Police (IGP) Baharul Alam has called on all members of the Bangladesh Police to carry out their duties with the highest level of professionalism, integrity, and efficiency, and ensure a fair parliamentary election.

He made the call while addressing a special views-exchange meeting on law and order, organized by the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) at the Bangladesh Police Auditorium in Rajarbagh on Saturday, said a press release issued today.

Chaired by DMP Commissioner SM Sazzat Ali, the meeting brought together top law enforcement officials, including Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) Director General AKM Shahidur Rahman, Additional IGP (Grade-1) Special Branch Md Golam Rasul, Additional IG (Crime and Operations) Khondaker Rafiqul Islam, and several senior officers of the DMP.

During the views exchange, police officials reviewed the current law and order situation across Dhaka and discussed strategic measures to ensure the fair, peaceful, and transparent conduct of the upcoming national elections.

The police chief emphasized the importance of maintaining discipline, professionalism, and neutrality in policing, urging officers to act responsibly to safeguard public trust and uphold the image of the Bangladesh Police, reports BSS.
