Prime accused held in Narsingdi teen rape, murder case

Police have arrested Nur Mohammad, alias Nura (28), the prime accused in the killing of a teenage girl in the district. 

Nura was apprehended from the Maona area of Gazipur around 9:00 pm today, Madhabdi Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Kamal Hossain confirmed BSS. 

The 15-year-old girl's body was recovered on Thursday around 12:30 pm, from a field between Bilpara and Darikandi in Mahishashura Union under Madhabdi Police Station of the Sadar upazila.

The victim's mother filed a case with Madhabdi Police Station on Thursday night, naming nine individuals, with 2-3 others still unidentified, reports BSS. 

According to the case documents, the girl was abducted from her father's custody and murdered for demanding justice for a rape.
