Khaleda shifted to cabin from CCU

BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia has been shifted to cabin from the Coronary Care Unit (CCU) of the Evercare Hospital.



BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia has been shifted to cabin from the Coronary Care Unit (CCU) of the Evercare Hospital.
She was transferred to the cabin at 1:05 pm on Wednesday as per the recommendation of her medical board.
Shairul Kabir Khan, a member of the BNP chairperson's media wing, confirmed this to media.
Three blockages were found in the arteries of the BNP chairperson through a coronary angiogram test conducted on Saturday (June 11).
Later, a ring (stent) has been placed there by removing the blockage.
About two other blockages, Khaleda's personal physician Dr AZM Zahid Hossain, said doctors will take proper measures in this regard after observing her condition as she has chronic kidney and liver problems.
Khaleda was admitted to Evercare Hospital in the capital in the early hours of Saturday as she suddenly fell ill.
Khaleda, a 76-year-old former prime minister, has long been suffering from various ailments, including liver cirrhosis, arthritis, diabetes, kidney, lung and eye problems.
