AL leader threatens to cut off limbs, tongue of bCL leader

Patuakhali: Allegations have been made against the former state minister for water resources Md Mahbubur Rahman threatening to kill the Chhatra League leader's hands, feet and tongue. Chhatra League leader Md. Hasibul Hossain, who suffered in this incident, filed a general diary number 1379 at Kalapara police station against two people including former state minister Mahbub on Saturday (September 29) night.

It is known that upazila Awami League president and former State Minister for Water Resources Md. Mahbubur Rahman threatened Hasibul, who is hoping for the post of president of Baliatli Union Chhatra League, to cut off his hands, feet, and tongue. It has now become the talk of the town in Kalapara as the recording of the former state minister's threat spread through social media.

The victim Chhatra League leader Hasibul said that around 9 pm on September 28, Kamal Talukder's mobile phone SIM number 01736391689 was used to connect his mobile phone SIM number 01731105957 threaten him by former state ministerl. He is now worried about it. Because the former state minister can do any harm to him and his family members. 

Meanwhile, the leaders and workers of the Upazila Chhatra League have been outraged by the death threat to the Chhatra League leader. Upazila Chhatra League Secretary Md. Faizul Islam Ashiq Talukder  said, "We, Chhatra League, will learn from  Awami League leaders. What the upazila Awami League president has done is very sad. We want a remedy for the Chhatra League.

In this regard, Upazila A-League Joint Secretary Principal Manjurul Alam said, "If he has given such a threat, it is not correct."

Md. Jasim,  OC of  Kalapara police station, said, 'In view of the  complaint, GD has been done. SI Md Humayun Kabir has been appointed to investigate the matter. Legal action will be taken after investigation.' - Gofran Biswas Palash
