Quader asks AL men to remain alert
Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader today directed AL leaders and activists to remain alert across the country so that no anarchy is created over the BNP's programmes.
He came up with the directives after visiting the venue of Awami League's national council at Suhrawardy Udyan here on Friday afternoon.
"Our conference will be held tomorrow. Meanwhile, the BNP has taken various programmes outside Dhaka. That's why the AL leaders and activists, who will stay in their respective areas on this day, will have to remain alert like December 10," Quader said.
He said the BNP has taken programmes across the country, outside the capital city, and anarchy may occur from its programmes.
The AL general secretary said the BNP is leading an alliance with communal forces, reports BSS.
"They (BNP) failed on December 10....they are desperate because they know that it is not easy to defeat Sheikh Hasina in elections. So, now they are trying to oust the government by carrying out wrongdoings like movement, agitation, arson attack and terrorism," he said.
